FORT MYERS, FLORIDA—November 21, 2016—The Southwest Florida Roofing Contractors Association (SWFRCA) donated $13,500.00 to Blessings in a Backpack to provide weekend nutrition to elementary school children at J. Colin English. Every Wednesday throughout the school year two volunteers from the Association pack the backpacks for the coming weekend. Blessings in a Backpack feed more than 89,000 children at 1,000 schools in 47 states and the District of Columbia this school year, www.blessinginabackpack.org. “This is a great way for our organization to give back to the community in a meaningful way. Money we raise from our annual golf tournament and fishing tournament provide the funds for this donation, we are very grateful to our industry and their support.” commented David Crowther, President of SWFRCA.
The SWFRCA is a professional trade association comprised of licensed roofing contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and related associate members dedicated to representing the interests of the roofing industry in Lee, Collier and Charlotte Counties since 1979.
